Liberia

From government vision to industrial execution: ALVENTIS links Côte d'Ivoire and Liberia within a single electric ecosystem.

A very high-level institutional welcome

The Liberian project took shape in a few months around sustained dialogue with the country's highest authorities. The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Liberia was the first to acknowledge receipt, by official letter dated May 18, 2026, of the ALVENTIS proposal to establish an assembly unit for electric minibuses and microbuses (6/8 and 9/15 seats) on Liberian territory — a proposal welcomed for its alignment with national objectives for transport modernization, economic growth and environmental sustainability.

This initial recognition has since been confirmed at the highest level of the State: a meeting with His Excellency Mr. Joseph BOAKAI, President of the Republic of Liberia, secured his encouragement and strong support for the project, while also consolidating the political anchoring of the initiative well beyond the transport sector alone.

At the same time, discussions initiated with the National Investment Commission (NIC), Liberia's institutional one-stop shop for investment promotion and facilitation, have paved the way for the drafting and submission for signature of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the integrated “Liberia Green Mobility 2030” program — a framework for strategic and institutional cooperation intended to facilitate the study, structuring, bankability and implementation of the entire program.

CONEX Group, the local operating partner identified

On the industrial and financial front, a working session between the executives of ALVENTIS and Mr. Cherif ABDALLAH, President of CONEX Group, a recognized Liberian player in the energy sector, resulted in a draft Strategic Partnership Agreement between the two organizations. Under this draft agreement, CONEX positions itself as the long-term local operator, responsible for launching a Proof of Concept (P.O.C) consisting of an electric minibus and a Fast Truck Charger and, in due course, for operating and expanding the national electric mobility and charging ecosystem — while ALVENTIS retains, as in each of its engagements, its exclusive role as Industrial Architect of the Project and Strategic Advisor.

Liberia, the new “Spoke” of the West African model

This series of advances is a direct continuation of the work carried out by ALVENTIS in Côte d'Ivoire with the support of the Government. Liberia is set to become one of the links — one of the “Spokes” — of this regional industrial ecosystem, of which Côte d'Ivoire is the major production hub. Vehicle kits produced at the Ivorian hub would be exported to a Liberian assembly unit, ensuring that 60 to 70% of the added value is created on Liberian soil, with local training and gradual technology transfer provided by the Ivorian industrial project.

The project also includes the deployment of mobile fast-charging solutions designed to overcome the constraints of the national power grid — a prerequisite for the operational viability of the electric fleet from its launch.

A regional momentum that is gaining ground

From Côte d'Ivoire to Liberia, ALVENTIS Automotive supports governments in their vision of locally industrialized electric mobility across West Africa.

The next steps — signing the MoU with the NIC, finalizing the agreement with CONEX Group, launching the feasibility study and the P.O.C — will mark a decisive new phase in building this regional “Hub & Spokes ” ecosystem.

Beyond a national project, this initiative illustrates the ability of ALVENTIS Automotive to bring together public institutions, investors, local operators and technology partners around a single objective: building, across West Africa, an integrated electric vehicle and charging infrastructure sector with lasting local roots.
